| OK! It's SHOWTIME! |

| 3am - Water Breaks 8:45am - Arrive at hospital and hook to monitors 10:30 - IV prepared 11:30am - some hard contractions, but not many. Dr has ordered Pitocin. Noon- Pitocin administered 3pm - Contractions are getting stronger but not enough for meds. Going slowly.... 3:45pm - Contractions are really picking up. 4:30pm - DR just checked Amy and even though her contractions are getting more painful, they are manageable without meds and she is still only 4cm. 5pm - Pain is getting a log more intense. I'm going to leave Dan and Amy alone for a while as she is going through this transition. 8:06pm - OK. We just got back into the room. While we were out, Amy went from a pain threshold of 'bearable' to suddenly unbearable. I hope I spelled that right. They gave her a epi which didn't take on both sides (just like last time), so she was in extreme pain by the time they redid the epi. It finally took old but becuase they gave her so much medication, she can't feel her legs at all. But...she feels better. At last check about an hour ago, she was 6.5cm and 80% effaced. So, she getting there. 8:56pm Amy is reporting feeling some pressure to the nurse but since she is completely numb, she can't feel anything so the nurses and doctors have to monitor via the machines. 9:30 starts to push 10:17 still pushing, but now from her side 11:03 still pushing and can start to see the head slightly 11:25pm GIRL! |
